How do I know if my business or agency is a good fit for you?

I write exclusively about IT, tech, and healthcare. If you are an agency with clients in those sectors, or if you’re a business in those sectors, then we’d make a great team.
If you’re still wondering, you can check out my client list to see if you fall into one of my main client categories.

Do you require a contract?

Yes. After you and I discuss your project, I provide a set price and written scope of exactly what the price covers. That way, you know exactly what the fee is and exactly what you will get. You’ll get a statement of work with all of that information detailed. When you confirm in writing your understanding of and agreement to the terms, then we’ll begin the project.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes, for new clients I require a 50% payment of the total project cost before work begins.

Do you have project minimums for new clients?

Yes. I only engage with new clients when they request and contract for project services of $1,000 or more. At my discretion, this policy may be waived after the first engagement.

How do we start?

Contact me with your project details. I’ll follow up with questions so I can develop a solid idea of what you need. After that, I’ll email a quote. When you accept the quote, I will send a statement of agreement that we will commit to in writing. The statement protects both of us—making sure you get exactly what you ask for at the price and deadline quoted and that I get paid in a timely manner. (If you require my signature on a non-disclosure agreement, I am happy to honor such requests.)

What payment types do you accept?

My preferred payment method is client-initiated direct deposit. I also accept checks. PayPal is another option, which allows safe and secure processing of credit card payments. (I do not accept credit cards directly.)

What is your payment policy?

For new clients, I require 50% of the total project fee before starting. I submit an invoice for the balance due at the end of the project and require payment within 30 days of the invoice date. If any client is 30 days past due, all work stops, transfer of copyright is withheld, and the client is dropped from my client list. I deliver projects on time and I expect to be paid on time. Failure to pay on time is a deal breaker.

Can you do rush work?

Sometimes, but I add a premium of 25% above my standard rates. You will know the fee up front and it will be part of our written agreement.

Who owns the copyright for content you create?

Until I am paid in full for your project, I own all copyrights to the original content that I produce. After payment clears, all copyright transfers to you.
